How to deal with a Hair Removal cream mishap?
This morning I tried using a Veet Hair Removal Cream under my arms, since I have trouble getting a close shave there. I followed all the instructions, but barely any hair came off and now my armpits are very sore, slightly red, and it’s painful to use soap or lotion on them. I tried to shave what the Veet left behind, but it was too irritating for the skin. The big problem is, I have to go to a wedding in 5 hours and I’m wearing a strapless dress. So shaving my armpits and using deodorant are pretty important today. What can I do to help ease the irritation? Ice seemed to help a little. I use an aluminum and paraben free natural deodorant, but I’m not sure if that will still make the stinging worse. Is there an alternative that would be better? Even a home remedy of sorts? Thanks!
Best to cool them as long as possible and then shave as late as possible. Sorry, not great, but at least you’ll give your skin time to settle down. I’ve had the same issues with those sorts of creams so I don’t use them anymore. I prefer waxing lol it hurts a bit but my skin’s not so irritated and it lasts longer. I’d recommend something with aloe vera in it to help soothe the skin but sometimes I find it stings so i’d put a little on at first and see how that goes. Good luck:)
